Optimize Refrigerator Dimensions: Using Refrigerator Filters And Fridge Fresh For Bacteria And Odors

A refrigerator is one of the most important appliances to own. A refrigerator delays the spoilage of food by slowing the bacterial chemical reaction because of the temperature changes. Even then, odors are problematic which is why changing your refrigerator air filters will reduce contaminant smells and improve the natural air flow pattern. You will also optimize your family’s health and safety by adding a Fridge Fresh unit to destroy any bacteria-causing agents.

What Do Refrigerator Air Filters Do?

There are two types of refrigerator filters you will want to monitor and change routinely:

1.     Refrigerator water filters must be changed every six to twelve months for ideal usage. This filter also reduces the contaminants in the water system which will ensure your drinking water is safe. Most newer refrigerators will give you a signal when it is time to replace. You will either have a push-in (built in near grill), twist-in (upper area with a twist or button release), or inline (back of fridge near water line) filter in your fridge.

To Replace The Water Filter:

  • Push-In Or Twist Filter

o   Remove the old filter by releasing or twisting of filter cap.

o   Align arrows of the filter and cap by snapping it in place clockwise.

    o   Reset the sensor.

  • Inline

o   Turn your water supply off.

o   Find the tubing and cut it straight using a plastic cutter.

o   Remove the cap and insert the new filter into the tubing.

o   Lock the new filter in by gently pushing on the end cap.

    o   Restore the water supply.

    o   Reset the sensor.

2.     Refrigerator air filters are primary components that ensure proper airflow and odor neutralization. With a new filter, your refrigerator will keep foods cold and your fruits and vegetables fresher. The settings must be between thirty-five and thirty-eight degrees to optimize refrigerator dimensions best. It will reduce the odors that are associated with leftovers and natural produce decay which also lessen the bacteria present in your fridge.  When checking the filters, it is a good idea also to check the refrigerator door gasket to ensure that air is not leaking and bringing down the temperature inside your fridge.

To Change Your Air Filter:

·      Find the filter and remove the old one.

·      Replace the filter as instructed in your owner’s manual.

·      Reset the sensor.

How Does A Fridge Fresh Unit Work?

While you will need to replace your water and air filters often, you do not need to do anything with a Fridge Fresh as it works non-stop to neutralize odors and kill bacteria on contact. As your filters become clogged over time, they also lose their ability to fight off germs, but your Fridge Fresh uses activated oxygen technology (O3) to prolong the shelf life of your produce by seven to ten days by destroying the bacteria. It also will not require filter changes or maintenance.

Fridge Fresh is designed for long-term use which is an ideal solution for people who do not have time to give their fridge a scrub every month but want to heighten health and safety standards.
